On May 23rd, Julie's sister, Jennifer, hosted a wedding shower for Nick and Julie. It was held at the Lansing Country Club - a tea and luncheon. Cute little sandwiches, stuffed cherry tomatoes, scones and jellies as well as tea were on the menu and we all had a wonderful time getting to know each other. Here are a few pics - the first is the announcement board inside the doors of the Country Club.

Julie, her mom, Rita and sister, Jennifer - very warm and welcoming to us and Nick.

Had to have a picture of the moms and bride-to-be.

Julie loved the "Comfort of Home" quilt that I made for them. It had the
Americana colors for Nick, red for Julie and not too many floral prints per Nick.

She received many nice gifts including the knife set that she requested from Gram.

Her mom gave her the beautiful picture frames and photo book that Julie requested.

Julie sitting like a queen with her "stash".

Had to have a picture with my mom and son. Ah, what a wonderful afternoon.

This is the happy couple with the Comfort of Home quilt. That is Julie's nephew, the ring bearer, on the side of the picture.

Nick is joining a wonderful family and we are so blessed to have Julie join ours. Looking forward to the next round of events in June - Our side of the family shower on the 27
th. Lots more fun.
